Watchers

Good Evening!

I just wanted to say welcome to the new watchers brought this way from Kotaku.   I hope you will enjoy checking out the photos that kind of chronical my progress with my painting and fabricating...yeah, still getting better with the fab..and the paint, hehe.  Give me a few years and think things will be pretty wild.   Thank you as well to all the folks who were already here, you know I appreciate all the comments and questions.  I hope I'm still getting to most of them, I swear I'm doing my best :)

Anyways, thanks again for the interest and check out the stuff I've fav'ed.  There's a lot of really talented people here on dA!

If you didn't see the story, I'd be honored to have you check it out :)   Kotaku.com: [link]

Thought it time for a re-write of all this after a year!

Thank you for visiting my page, I appreciate your interest in what I do. What do I do exactly? I'm not sure yet to be honest...but for the time being, I am a maker of custom props and painter of replicas. I work primarily in paint so what you see in the photos is all paint. There are a few times where this is not the case, but I generally point this out. I am seeing a bit of a move towards incorporating painted and non-painted parts to make a final product where you can't see where the real ends and the trickery begins, hehe.

I do work a lot with Nerf guns and those from similar brands. They're a blast and until I can afford the CNC machines, Ol' Brian has to work with what he can get his hands on. I do keep some functional when I don't have to muck around with the guts. Others are purely fantasy guns that look great with that insanely expensive HALO costume you just commissioned, heh. I also have a love for all things Steampunk and although my work would not show up at the definitive definition as such, I do feel they complement they style nicely and I'll strive to get better at making them.

So please have a look through my past year of playing Santa's helper. I hope you'll find something you enjoy and please feel free to contact me if you have something you need built to order. "If you've got the money, honey, I've got the time!" lol

All the best and thank you for you comments, support and friendship. You guys make it all worth while :)

You ever done a custom nerf deploy that loads from the bottom instead of the top? O-o

I've been trying to convince some models to do a tie-in shoot with Prometheus, using one of your pieces... but none of them are having it!

Ah, well! I appreciate the thought! Some models don't like to be seen by hundreds of thousands of people and I respect that ;)

Ha ha, are we talking about gun models or the beautiful people kind? :P

Anyway, keep up the great work. Hoping to see some of your pieces in the next big Hollywood blockbuster... speaking of which, are you planning on doing any Judge Dredd commissions? A nerf Lawgiver would be awesome...
